Nigerian professional wrestler Oba Femi recorded one of the biggest victories of his career after defeating former UFC and WWE champion Brock Lesnar in a brutal Hell in a Cell match at WWE SummerSlam on Saturday night.

The highly anticipated contest took place at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where thousands of wrestling fans watched Femi overcome one of the most dominant competitors in WWE history.

It was also the Lagos-born wrestler’s first appearance inside the Hell in a Cell structure, making the victory even more significant.

From the opening bell, both men exchanged heavy blows in a physical encounter that tested their strength and endurance.

Lesnar used his trademark German suplexes to try to wear Femi down and later slammed him with a devastating Tombstone onto exposed wooden boards beneath the ring. Femi also endured repeated attacks with steel steps but refused to stay down.

The Nigerian star responded with determination, fighting back with two powerful chokeslams that shifted the momentum of the match. As the contest reached its closing stages, Lesnar attempted to use a steel chair to gain the advantage.

However, Femi knocked the weapon out of his opponent’s hands with a stiff right punch before delivering his finishing move, Fall From Grace, to pin Lesnar and claim a memorable victory.

The emotional moment continued after the final bell as Lesnar embraced Femi in the middle of the ring.

He then picked up a microphone and publicly praised the Nigerian wrestler, describing himself as the past of WWE while declaring Femi the future of the company.

The gesture drew loud cheers from the crowd and marked a rare show of respect from the former world champion.

Speaking after the match, Femi admitted he was surprised by Lesnar’s actions.

“The hug and public endorsement was definitely a shock, and I didn’t see that coming. I know that deep down, Brock has always respected me, and he knows that I respect him as well.”

The victory crowns an outstanding year for the Nigerian wrestler, who has continued to establish himself as one of WWE’s fastest rising stars.

Earlier this year, he defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 before winning the prestigious 2026 King of the Ring tournament in June.
