Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has declared himself undefeatable in a free and fair election in Nigeria if he decides to run for a political office.

The singer, while speaking during a livestream with Carter Efe, explained that despite his confidence in winning elections in Nigeria, he is interested in contesting for any elective position because of the corrupt nature of Nigerian elections and the electoral body.

Davido noted that he would rather focus on his music career than venture into politics, adding that he would consider the move once there is electoral transparency in Nigeria

“Nigeria wey dem dey write result? I no get time for all those ones. Because I no be all those ones wey you go cheat me, I go go sleep for house. I will do something to you If you cheat me. Let me just focus on my music until there is transparency then I can go ahead and contest for elective positions. Nobody can beat me in any election, never! In a free and fair election, I can win presidential election in Nigeria. But because of the system, there is no transparency, they write results. I waiting to see what they will do in the upcoming Osun gubernatorial election. We are wailing,” he stated.
