Hon. Ikenna Nwankwor has accepted his appointment as Director General of the Okenwa Ogbunka Campaign Organisation for Prince Chibuike Echem’s House of Reps bid.

Speaking to journalists on Friday, Nwankwor said he possesses the requisite quality to manage the campaign and deliver victory for Echem.

“I have held a similar position like that. Even the one that is more than that,” he said, listing his credentials.

He is currently President General of Orumba Town People Union in Abuja, former Secretary of Orumba North LGA, former Chairman of Ufuma Union Abuja, and a former councilor.

Nwankwor said his experience in both government and community leadership puts him in a strong position to coordinate the campaign.

On strategy, he advised Echem to “listen to the grassroots and carry everybody along.”

“When you listen to the grassroots and carry everybody along, it means you will not forget anybody or leave anybody behind,” he stated.

He emphasised that representation must not differentiate between rich and poor. “Know what people want. Know the environment very well so you can negotiate for them at the federal level.”

Asked about LP’s chances in Orumba, Nwankwor expressed confidence, citing the party’s 2023 performance.

LP will make a difference this time around. They are going to surprise so many people,” he said.

He noted that many Orumba voters are “dismayed by the performance of others” and are ready to give LP a chance.

With the mandate to immediately constitute the campaign council, Nwankwor said the team will be drawn from both Orumba North and South to ensure balance and reach.
