The eldest brother of the former music duo P-Square, Henry Okoye, has expressed doubts that his younger twin brothers, Peter and Paul Okoye, will ever fully reconcile, saying the prolonged dispute may have caused irreparable damage to their relationship.
Henry spoke on Friday in an interview with social commentator Jos Connection at their father’s residence in Plateau State.
He said that although Peter has made efforts to resolve the disagreement, he remains pessimistic about the twins returning to the close relationship they once shared.
He appealed to Paul to end the rift, recalling the support Peter gave him when he was hospitalised.
“Peter is trying. I don’t know if Jude used juju on Paul because he was the nicest person in the family before. But the way he changed is surprising. What is happening now is my prayer. I watched all Peter’s series on what transpired,” Henry said.
“They promised me 20 per cent when they start making money. Jude intervened and dismissed that. I challenged him that he wasn’t there when we started everything but now chasing everybody away from them.”
Henry added that he would be happy if the brothers reunited but does not believe it will happen.
“I will be happy for them to come back together but I don’t think it will happen. Paul was a very kind person.”
He also recalled a personal financial incident, saying Peter once directed him to Jude after his wife’s father died, claiming Jude was holding his money.
“When Peter’s wife’s dad died, I spoke to them why they left only me in Jos. Peter said I should meet Jude, he’s the one holding my money. I want all the family to come back. I have tried my best. Even Shehu Dantata spoke to them and they didn’t listen,” he said.
Henry urged Jude to help restore family unity by settling the disagreements among the siblings and appealed to Paul to forgive Peter, noting that Peter had reportedly paid his hospital bills during his illness.
The comments come amid a long-running dispute involving Peter, Paul and their elder brother Jude, who previously managed P-Square.
