Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has arrived in Bauchi State ahead of the 2026 Democracy Dialogue organised by the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation.

Jonathan was received at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Airport in Bauchi by Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, who led senior government officials and other dignitaries to welcome the former president.

The former president is expected to attend the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation Democracy Dialogue 2026, scheduled to hold at the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Conference Centre in Bauchi.

As part of his visit, Jonathan is also expected to commission 12 newly completed road projects within Bauchi metropolis executed by the Bala Mohammed administration.

He will equally perform the foundation-laying ceremony for the Golden Jubilee Park, a recreational project located beside the Multi-Purpose Wunti complex in Bauchi.

The visit is expected to bring together political leaders, development stakeholders and other participants for discussions on democracy, governance and Nigeria’s democratic development.
