The Osun governorship election is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, with incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party seeking re-election against APC candidate Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji and ADC’s Salaam, among other candidates.

The election has generated heightened political activity in the state, with the major contenders intensifying their campaigns ahead of the poll. The Independent National Electoral Commission has said it is ready for the election, while security agencies have also stepped up preparations to ensure a peaceful electoral process.
