The executive chairman of Kuje area council, Hon. Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructural development and improved service delivery with an inspection of ongoing road and drainage projects across the area council.

The inspection, which focused on projects initiated by the previous administration, was aimed at assessing the level of work achieved, identifying challenges affecting their completion, and ensuring that projects capable of delivering meaningful benefits to residents are completed to the required standards.

The chairman, accompanied by contractors handling the projects, legislators, members of the cabinet, council officials and journalists, inspected ongoing works at Dafara, Sauka, Lanto and the Prison Command axis in Kuje, among other locations.

During the inspection, Hon. Shekwolo expressed the determination of his administration to sustain and complete viable ongoing projects rather than abandon them, noting that continuity in governance remains essential to achieving sustainable development.

He stated that roads and drainage infrastructure are critical to the socio-economic development of communities, particularly in addressing accessibility, erosion and flooding while improving the general living conditions of residents.

The chairman directed the contractors handling the projects to maintain the required standards and ensure that work progresses according to agreed specifications and timelines.
