The Lagos State Printing Corporation has regularised the appointments of 18 project staff members into permanent positions, in a move aimed at strengthening its workforce and recognising their contributions to the corporation.
The formal presentation and announcement were made at the Conference Room of the corporation in the presence of members of the management team.
In a post obtained from Lagos State’s X handle on Thursday, speaking at the occasion, the General Manager of LSPC, Dr. Kolawole Peregrino, congratulated the 18 newly regularised staff and thanked the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for approving the exercise.
Peregrino described the approval as a demonstration of the governor’s commitment to workers’ welfare and the strengthening of the state public service.
He urged the beneficiaries to regard their new status not merely as a personal achievement but as an opportunity to contribute more meaningfully to the development of LSPC and the Lagos State Public Service.
The General Manager advised the newly confirmed staff to embrace the values and responsibilities expected of public servants.
He said their transition to permanent employment came with greater responsibilities and expectations, urging them to demonstrate “discipline, professionalism, loyalty, accountability and dedication” in the discharge of their duties.
Peregrino stressed that public service required a mindset that placed service to the people above personal interests.
He further encouraged the beneficiaries to see their regularisation as “a fresh beginning” and an opportunity to build meaningful careers within the Corporation.
The General Manager said he remained committed to leaving a lasting legacy at LSPC that would benefit both the present workforce and future generations of staff.
He noted that every member of staff had a role to play in sustaining and improving the achievements of the Corporation.
Peregrino also urged the newly regularised employees to remain humble, responsible and committed to continuous learning as they assume their new responsibilities.
He prayed for the beneficiaries, asking God to guide them, grant them wisdom and enable them to justify the confidence reposed in them by the Lagos State Government and the management of LSPC.
Also speaking, the corporation’s Secretary congratulated the 18 staff members and cautioned them against taking the opportunity for granted.
He urged them to remain dedicated to their duties, maintain a positive attitude to work and reciprocate the confidence placed in them through their regularisation by demonstrating hard work, discipline and commitment.
The secretary said permanent employment should motivate the beneficiaries to improve their productivity and contribute positively to the growth of LSPC.
He encouraged them to work collaboratively with their colleagues, respect constituted authority and uphold the values and standards of the Lagos State Public Service.
