Edo Queens have been handed a tough draw in the 2026 WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers, Prompt News Online reports.
The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) champions will compete in Group B alongside Côte d’Ivoire’s ASEC Mimosas, Ghanaian side Ampem Darkoa and AS Garde Nationale of Niger Republic.
Moses Aduku’s side are set to make their second appearance in the regional qualifying competition.
The Benin City club enjoyed a successful debut in 2024, winning the WAFU B tournament to qualify for the CAF Women’s Champions League.
Group A will feature hosts USFA of Burkina Faso, Dynamique FC of Benin Republic and Togo’s ASKO.
Burkina Faso will host the competition from Sunday, 23 August to Saturday, 5 September, 2026.
The tournament will serve as the WAFU B qualifying event for the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League.
Edo Queens went on to finish fourth at the CAF Women’s Champions League in 2024, their maiden appearance at the continental showpiece.
