Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) have been disqualified from the NPFL Super 6 following a decision by the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) board.

The Oluyole Warriors were reportedly sanctioned after the club submitted the names of academy players alongside first-team players for the Super 6 tournament, a move considered to be in breach of the competition’s regulations.

Following its review of the matter, the NPFL board ruled against Shooting Stars, leading to the club’s removal from the tournament.

The development comes as a major setback for the Ibadan-based side, who had been looking forward to competing among the league’s top teams.
