Eko Electricity Distribution Plc (EKEDP), on Sunday said load shedding remained active in some areas. It however, stated that overall distribution across its network had improved.
This was contained in a post by the disCo to its customer on power update.
It read: “Dear valued customer; we have received an increased power allocation from the nation grid! Although load shedding remains active in some areas, overall distribution across our network has improved. Thank you for your patience as we continue to manage distribution effectively.”
The disCo had in a post to its customers on Saturday said there was load shedding. It read: “We are experiencing load shedding across our network. This is due to low allocation from the grid. Please bear with us.”
Also BIPORAL management had in a Notice on Saturday to its customers titled: Power interruption on Banana Island’, alerted of the loadshedding.
The message read: “We regret to inform you that a system collapse occurred at 2.20pm today (Saturday), which has resulted in a loss of power supply to Banana Island. Our team is actively monitoring the situation and is in contact with the relevant authorities to restore electricity as soon as possible.
“We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this may cause. Please be assured that once power is received from the national grid, we will promptly restore electricity to the island.
“WE appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Should you have any urgent concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team.”
