Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo has reacted to a rumours of infidelity over his interaction with a little girl at an event. The singer, while addressing the gossip, advised those seeking fame to ensure the ‘grow a thick skin’ adding that famous individuals are often the target of rumours and online criticisms.
Dakolo, via his social media page, explained the context behind photo of him and the little girl, stressing that he met her at the event and she refused to go back to her mother.
“I carried a little girl at an event; she just wouldn’t go back to her mum. So I parented her all evening. The next thing I saw online, Timi and his love child were inseparable. This space is a mad house,” he stated.
The singer warned that fame and popularity brings scrutiny, urging people to learn to be unfazed over online gossip.
”Grow a thick skin if you desire fame. You will definitely need it. You can go to bed a happy fellow and wake up with news of you in some mess. And because you are famous, the odds are already against you,” he added.
