The remains of veteran Nollywood actor, Alhaji Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, have arrived at the prayer ground in Ilaro, Ogun State, ahead of his burial.
Ogogo’s remains arrived at the venue, where family members, friends, colleagues, community leaders and sympathisers gathered to pay their final respects.
The veteran actor who died on Sunday after a period of illness, was a prominent figure in the Yoruba film industry, with a career spanning several decades and set to be buried on Monday, August 24, 2026 in accordance to the Islamic rites.

His death was announced in a social media post by his colleague in the film industry, Prince Jide Kosoko and has continued to generate tributes from colleagues, fans, political leaders and other Nigerians, many of whom have described him as a legend and cultural icon whose legacy and contributions to Yoruba cinema will not be forgotten.
The arrival of his remains at the prayer ground signals the commencement of the burial arrangements for the veteran actor in his hometown of Ilaro, Yewaland, Ogun State.
More details from the burial ceremony are expected as family members, colleagues and dignitaries gather to bid the late actor a final farewell.
