Veteran Nollywood actor, Yinka Quadri, broke down in tears on Monday as he joined other colleagues, family members and well-wishers to bury his longtime friend and colleague, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, in Ilaro, Ogun State.
Quadri was among the prominent Nollywood figures who gathered in Ilaro to pay their final respects to the late veteran actor, whose burial followed his death on Sunday.
The emotional moment came as Quadri, who shared a longstanding relationship with Ogogo, mourned the loss of a colleague he had remained close to over the years. He was also among the actors who rallied around Ogogo during his illness.
Other Nollywood personalities at the burial included veteran actor Jide Kosoko, actresses Ireti Osayemi and Bisi Omo Logbalogba, Femi Adebayo, Toyosi Adesanya and other members of the film industry.

Actor Bola Oyin-Adejobi also spoke with newsmen ahead of the burial, paying tribute to Ogogo and praying for his soul to attain Al-Jannah Firdaus.
The lying-in-state ceremony was held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Pavillon, Ilaro, after the remains of the late actor were moved to his hometown a day earlier.
Ogogo died on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 66 after battling stage-four cancer.
