Nigeria’s U20 Women’s National Team, the Falconets, have settled into their training camp in Trzebnica, Poland, as preparations intensify for the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
The two-time FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup silver medallists arrived in Poland on Tuesday and wasted no time beginning their final preparations for the global tournament.
The Falconets held their first training session on Wednesday at the Stadion Miejski, Fair Play Arena, with head coach Moses Aduku and his technical crew putting the players through an intensive session focused on tactical organisation, technical execution, physical conditioning and team cohesion.

Falconets line up Poland, South Korea friendlies
Nigeria will use two international friendly matches to further sharpen their preparations before the World Cup.
The Falconets will face hosts Poland on Friday, August 28, at the Municipal Stadium in Brzeg, with kick-off scheduled for 12 noon local time.
They will then take on South Korea on September 1 at the Remes Resort & Spa Football Stadium, with the match starting at 4pm local time.
The fixtures will give the players an opportunity to acclimatise to the conditions in Poland, test themselves against different styles of play and gain valuable experience against quality international opposition.
The matches will also allow Aduku and his technical crew to assess the team’s progress and make tactical adjustments before the tournament.
Squad changes
The Falconets have made two changes to their squad after captain Joy Igbokwe and defender Faridat Abdulwahab were unable to secure visas for the tournament.
Vivian Kachi and Alaba Olabiyi have been brought into the squad as their replacements.
Aduku has continued to demand maximum commitment from his players as the Falconets fine-tune their preparations and build towards the championship.
Nigeria will compete in Group F alongside Spain, China PR and New Caledonia.
The Falconets will open their campaign against Spain on September 7 before facing China PR on September 10 and New Caledonia on September 13.
Nigeria, runners-up in 2010 and 2014, will be aiming to go a step further in Poland and win the country’s first FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup title.
