Ogun State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,  Ganiyu Oladunjoye Hamzat, has been officially appointed as the Co Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) for the Southwest Baales Forum.

Hon. Hamzat, who is the elder brother of the Lagos State APC governorship candidate for the 2027 general election, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, was nominated to the co-board position in an official appointment letter signed by the forum’s Convener, Dr. Seyi Bamigbade.

In his remarks when the South West executives of the forum paid a courtesy visit to his office, Hamzat expressed his deep gratitude to the leadership for the honour and responsibilities placed upon him.

He specifically commended Dr. Seyi Bamigbade for his vision and hard work in bringing community leaders together under one unified umbrella to promote regional development.

Harping on the political and cultural relevance of the forum, Hamzat highlighted the vital role that traditional community heads (Baales) play in grassroots mobilization.

He noted that the active involvement of the Southwest Baales Forum will guarantee a massive turnout and robust support for the reelection victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Southwest Baales Forum is an organization dedicated to uniting traditional community leaders across the southwestern states of Nigeria.

The forum aims to foster peace, promote grassroots development, and collaborate on strategic socio-political advancements for the region.
