The Niger state governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has constructed 57 Primary Healthcare centres as part of efforts to ensure that every community has easy access to affordable healthcare services. 


The Special Adviser on Digital Media and Communication to the Governor, Abdulberqy Usman Ebbo, disclosed this Friday in Minna. 

He said the governor had continued with the execution of development projects across the state even as political campaigns for the 2027 elections had begun.

“Some of the projects, including the construction of a Level 2 Primary Health Care Centre in Landzun, Bida, designed to improve access to quality healthcare services to residents, have been completed and already operational,” he said.

He said Governor Bago had also embarked on the re-modelling and reconstruction of health facilities across the state, adding that residents “now have access to affordable medical services and drugs in government’s health facilities.”

Ebbo also said the Landzun facility was expected to provide a range of healthcare services and amenities, including a 24-hour electricity supply as well as a 24-hour water supply.

He listed other facilities to include a theatre, doctors’ quarters, a pharmacy, consulting rooms as well as other essential medical facilities incorporated.

He said the administration had executed lots of projects in the health sector which are capable of speaking for the government during the campaigns for the 2027 general elections.
