The Olowu of Kuta, HRM Oba Dr Hammed Adekunle Oyelude Makama, Tegbosun III, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his victory in the state governorship election.

In a congratulatory statement issued on Sunday, the traditional ruler commended Adeleke for securing a renewed mandate from the people of Osun State, describing the victory as an opportunity to consolidate the gains of his administration.

Oba Oyelude urged the governor to approach his victory with magnanimity and adopt an inclusive style of governance that unites the people and accommodates diverse interests across the state.

The monarch also reminded Adeleke of the commitments contained in his victory speech, urging him to translate his promises into concrete actions as he begins the next phase of his administration.

He called on the governor to “hit the ground running” by consolidating ongoing development initiatives and ensuring that projects already commenced across the state receive sustained attention.

The Olowu specifically urged Adeleke to strengthen his people-oriented policies, which he said had earned the governor widespread support across the state.

According to him, the governor’s second tenure should place greater emphasis on rural development, noting that many urban areas had benefited significantly from the first tenure.

The monarch further charged the governor to prioritise security and the general welfare of residents, stressing that the safety and wellbeing of the people should remain central to the administration’s agenda.

Oba Oyelude expressed confidence that Adeleke’s renewed mandate would provide an opportunity to consolidate the achievements of his administration, address areas requiring greater attention and implement policies capable of delivering tangible benefits to people across Osun State.
