Goods, household items and other properties worth millions of naira were destroyed in a fire that ravaged some shops at the Nigerian Railway shopping complex in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
According to reports, the fire, which occured on Saturday, affected three shops within the complex located along the Aleshinloye market road, Ibadan.

Saturday Telegraph gathered that the fire started around 5 a.m. and had wreaked much havoc before firefighters were alerted.
Confirming the incident, the Chairman of Oyo State Fire Service, Maroof Akinwande, said that the fire has been put out.
“It occurred in the Nigerian Railway complex and not Aleshinloye as reported.
“We have quenched the fire. It occurred around 5 a.m,” he said.
